2017 Levente Thury Scholarship for Franciska Dombi — HUF 600,000

The Levente Thury Scholarship, financed by the Krisztina Polgár Memorial Fund supports annually one outstanding art student of the Ferenc Toldy Secondary School, to help focus on her/his art studies and motivate her/him to continue on this field in higher education.

 

Museum of Applied Art, Friends of Association — HUF 1,163,000

The support is earmarked for the Museum’s 2017 activities.

 

Publishing the Színház (theatre) monthly newspaper — HUF 2,750,000

The donation made possible to sustain the print version of the nearly half century old, influential theatre critic paper.

 

Foreign Studies Scholarship for Gergő Tóth — USD 9000

Gergő Tóth Krisztián, young violin player was admitted to the Conservatory of Music Advance Performance Studies program of Bard College, USA. His studies from September 2016 to June 2017 is supported by generous individuals

 

K2 Theatre USA Study Trip and Performance in NY  — HUF 550,000

K2 Theatre is made up of ambitious young artists, and its main objective is to use theatre to reflect on social trends. In the summer of 2016 the company won a part funding for a project to collect material for a new play in the USA. Thanks to support from the Krisztina Polgár Memorial Fund, Júlia Király, Dr. Péter Bíró, János Mátyásfalvi, Dr. István Tamás and other individuals, the necessary sum was raised to accomplish the project.

 

Katlain Kokas and Tamás Vásáry concert tour in Hungary — HUF 3,000,000

Katalin Kokas violin artist and Tamás Vásáry piano artist gave 9 concerts for 2000 people in far corners of Hungary. Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms violin-piano pieces were on the program, on several occasions especially focusing on young audiences. The tour was supported by Hungarian Development Bank.
